AED

(Automated External Defibrillator)

Like fire extinguishers, AED’s are becoming quite commonplace, and are being introduced in public areas like railway stations, public houses, leisure facilities etc.  Forward thinking employers are also seeing the benefit of showing their staff that they are prepared to go that extra mile, when it comes to being prepared for a sudden collapse at work.

Anybody, including employees, retired pensioners, customers etc., are more likely to survive an out-of-hospital collapse, which leads to heart failure, if an AED, ideally with a trained operator, gets to the scene ahead of the ambulance.  We offer this valuable training from a one-to-one basis to a maximum of six delegates per instructor for quality purposes..

Which AED to choose?

The first thing to consider is the circumstances under which the AED could be deployed.

An AED in the workplace should be perhaps a bit more robust than one kept at home, in the car, boat, caravan etc.

An AED used for ambulance or other medical purposes, like responder groups should choose an AED that is designed for continual or regular use.

The AEDs we recommend (HeartSine) satisfies the home and workplace market, mainly because they are lighter to carry, easier to use, robust (water and dust resistant) than any other on the market.  HeartSine are currently leaders in the field, when it comes to AED technology and development.

See below the choice we offer, but feel free to call us to discuss your requirements prior to purchase.  We offer personal delivery and up to 1-hour free training for companies and private homes within a 25 mile radius of Chichester.
